I just picked up a Camera for the first time about two weeks ago, and I really have next to no idea what I'm doing.  I'm relying a lot on guesswork and basic understanding of exposure theory, but I need pointers, lots of pointers.  So feel free to leave comments on technical capability, or if you live in the Sacramento area take me out and show me what's up.

Additionally I'd like to take some pictures of people sooner or later, so any amateur (ie: not wanting money) models in the Sacramento area who don't mind dealing with a total newbie should drop me a line.
